Signature Builds

New London

New London is a considered reuse project that reawakens one of South Melbourne’s oldest surviving buildings, transforming a former 1870 pub into a contemporary residence with a story worth preserving. Developed by Grace Lewin, the home treats its heritage not as a constraint but as a foundation, retaining the quiet presence of the original structure while introducing a refined, sculptural language within.

Inside, a warm, tonal palette of hand-finished plaster and honed stone creates a calm, enveloping atmosphere. A dramatic skylight washes light over curved plaster surfaces, while a monolithic stone island anchors the kitchen beneath it. Deep green marble steps, a slim blackened steel balustrade, and carefully resolved detailing reinforce a sense of craft and cohesion throughout, a home where the building itself becomes the art.

Cunningham

Cunningham is a refined residential project defined by its warm, restrained material palette and carefully composed architectural form. Natural timber, stone, and soft neutral finishes work together to create a calm, grounded atmosphere, while considered openings and spatial sequencing bring in controlled natural light and frame views to the surrounding context. The result is a home that feels both intimate and open, shaped by a clear sensitivity to site and setting.

Across the project, there is a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and detail, where every junction, surface, and transition has been carefully resolved to reinforce the overall sense of cohesion. The balance between solid and void, interior and exterior, creates a quiet architectural rhythm that elevates everyday living. The design was developed in collaboration with FIGR Architecture & Design, whose approach further refines the project’s precision and material clarity.

Cyril

Cyril is a three-frontage residential project defined by its considered massing and architectural detail across every elevation. Natural limestone, LOHAS brick and manicured landscaping compose an exterior that holds its resolve from every angle, with material rigour carried consistently across all aspects rather than concentrated at a single façade.

Inside, a generous ground floor master suite with cathedral ceiling establishes the home's spatial hierarchy, with three further bedrooms, a flexible rumpus retreat, and marble-finished bathrooms arranged across the upper level. The living and dining zone extends outward through a full-width glazed wall to an alfresco deck and private garden beyond. Engineered oak floors, fluted glass, and marble across the bathrooms, laundry, and powder room reinforce a warm material palette where every surface has been carefully resolved to contribute to the overall sense of craft and coherence.
